Wax Scores license.

  1. The license. When you buy Wax Scores you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the compositions in it (the “Material”) inside your own new musical works (“Productions”). You are licensed, not sold, the Material. Bluesky Music Library keeps all rights to it.
  2. What is covered. Releasing and selling your Productions, streaming them, leasing beats made with them, and performing them live. The license covers you, or the artist you produce for when you deliver them a Production.
  3. Standard releases. No clearance and no extra payment for a Production that stays under 1,000,000 combined streams across Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. You do not have to credit us, though a credit is appreciated.
  4. Major releases. If a Production is released through a major label or a large independent label, or passes the stream limit above, write to us for clearance before you release it or when you pass the limit. Terms: a split of publishing on the part that uses the Material, fixed in writing, and a producer or co-producer credit. We will not refuse a fair clearance.
  5. Non-monetized use. Practice, demos, social posts and uploads that earn nothing need no clearance.
  6. What you may not do. Resell, share, sublicense or give away the Material, alone or inside a loop, sample pack, drum kit, sound library or similar product. Use a piece in isolation, unchanged, as your own work. Register the Material itself, or a Production that is only the Material unchanged, with Content ID or a similar system. Use the names or likeness of Bluesky or of the artists named on this site to suggest an endorsement.
  7. Credits and authorship. The compositions are by akabluesky. You own your Production as a work; you do not own the Material inside it.
  8. How the sound is made. The compositions are made with a blend of high quality virtual instruments and real instruments, and mixed with period processing. Nothing in them is taken from existing records.
  9. No guarantee. The Material is supplied as is. Our liability is limited to the price you paid, to the extent the law allows.
  10. Breach. If you break these terms the license ends and you stop using the Material in new Productions. Releases already out stay out, unless the breach is a resale of the Material.
